Israel, Jerusalem
A farsighted conversion
Adding a floor to a 1970s apartment building in Jerusalem didn’t only open up new living space, but also created a roof deck with a spectacular view of the heart of this unique city. Here, protected and private open space that isn’t accessible from the outside is priceless. Extensive additions and renovations changed a narrow, dark, relatively small building into an open, flexible family home. The spatial layout is designed to accommodate today a family with lots of children and frequent guests.
